How it Works
WataPitch is designed to make pitching your idea simple, structured, and professional — while also providing a genuine pathway to turning ideas into reality.
From booking your pitch to potential business creation, the process is designed to be clear, fair, and opportunity-driven.
Step 1 — Book Your Pitch
Start by booking an available pitching slot directly on the WataPitch website by selecting Pitch Us.
You will then choose how you would like to present your idea:
- TeamViewer
- Google Meets
- WataPod
- WataBus
Once booked, you will receive a confirmation email containing:
- Your booking date
- Your session time
- Your access code
- Instructions for your chosen pitch format
Step 2 — Prepare For Your Session
At your scheduled time, you simply attend your chosen pitch format:
- Join via TeamViewer or Google Meets
- Enter your WataPod using your access code
- Attend your WataBus location
Once signed, WataPitch will countersign the NDA and send a copy to your email address for your records and peace of mind.
This ensures confidentiality and protection for both parties before any ideas are presented.
Step 3 — You're On Air
Once the NDA is complete, your pitch session begins.
Each pitching session is 30 minutes, giving you the opportunity to present your idea clearly and effectively to the Panel of Specialists.
This is your moment — so make it count.
During your session, you may be presenting to:
- A single specialist
- Multiple specialists
- A full panel
The panel will listen, ask questions where necessary, and evaluate the opportunity.
Step 4 — After Your Pitch
Once your session is complete, the specialist will inform you that a decision will be communicated via email.
You will then receive one of the following outcomes:
- Accepted for further discussion
- Not accepted at this time
- Request for further information
Every idea is carefully reviewed before a final decision is made.
Step 5 — If Your Idea Is Accepted
If your idea is accepted, a Head Project Manager from The Watalot Group will contact you to discuss next steps, including:
- Joint Venture structure
- Percentage splits
- Development strategy
- Market opportunities
- Your preferred involvement
At this stage, you will typically have two main pathways:
Pathway 1 — Entrepreneur-in-Residence (EiR)
If you choose to become an Entrepreneur-in-Residence (EiR), Watalot will work with you to build the business around your idea.
This may include:
- Business training and development courses (funded by Watalot)
- Product development and manufacturing
- Branding and marketing
- Retail placement and distribution
- Business infrastructure creation
Watalot will initially help run and manage the business while gradually bringing you into the operational and strategic side of the company.
As experience and capability grow, you may be given the opportunity to buy back shares and eventually become the majority shareholder — running your own business.
This is part of The Watalot Group’s wider vision:
Turning Ideas Into Reality — Creating Entrepreneurs
Pathway 2 — Royalty Partnership
If you prefer not to run the business yourself, you may choose a Royalty Partnership.
Under this model:
- Watalot develops the product
- Watalot builds the business
- Watalot manages operations and distribution
- Watalot appoints its own Entrepreneur-in-Residence
You then earn royalties based on product performance.
As long as the product continues to sell and generate revenue, you continue earning — without needing to manage the business directly.
Opportunity Beyond The Pitch
Successful pitches may also be invited to appear on our WataBoss - Who's The Boss Reality TV Podcast Show, where selected entrepreneurs and ideas are featured as part of the WataPitch journey.
This provides additional exposure, storytelling, and the opportunity to showcase the development process as ideas move toward market.
Your Idea. Your Opportunity.
WataPitch is more than just a pitch session.
It’s a structured pathway designed to discover ideas, support innovation, and create real businesses.
Because every successful business starts with an idea — and WataPitch exists to help bring those ideas to life.
