How it works |
We have an eight phase approach to making it easy for anyone to approach us. We cut all red tape where possible and make it smooth running. If you click on the "System" button above, we go more in depth on each phase to give you a better understanding of our approach. We are here to help inventors get their products to market ... and we are not talking about the seasoned inventor but rather the every day person that stumbles upon an idea, believes it is great but has no idea what to do, where to go or even getting the idea to market. We were once like you and through our trials we have made it possible to get through the process without turning grey :) |
Step One: You have an idea, even if it is in your head, click on Pitch Us button or click here .. this is your first step to realising your dream. Fill out the form and press send. Step Two: Download the Non-disclosure Agreement. This is an important step to cover yourselves and ourselves. Sign the document and then email it to us (pitchus@watalot.com) Sit back and wait for us to reply Step Three: You receive a response from us with a time and date for you to pitch us your idea. With this response is your NDA that you signed that we have also signed and now it is a legal document protecting both parties ... and now the fun starts! Step Four: You pitch us your idea to our panel of specialists. Our panel of specialists consists of five gurus in their respective fields from product sales, design, manufacture, project management, legal and financial. Don't worry, it will be fun. Step Five: Once you have pitched your idea, then our panel of specialists will take 72 hours to do their homework and will come back to you with a "report brief " of their findings. On the Report is either a "Celebration Thumbs Up" and we are ready to enter into negoitiations with you for a Joint Venture Agreement that we will offer you. It is up to you to accept it or not. By signing the offer, you have accepted it. You have a choice to make here: Whether you want to be part of the process but in a limited capacity, so we can make it fun or are you in it for the royalties .. either or, the possibilities are endless. Or you may receive a "Sad Thumbs Down" response where we are not saying your idea is bad but we will provide you an explanation of why we are not excepting the idea. Should we decline the idea, thats it from us. We will not mention a word to anyone nor will we speak of it to anyone. Should we at a later stage decide that we are interested again, then we will make contact with you and offer you a Joint Venture Agreement, so all is not lost. It might not be the right time, we never know! Step Six: The fun begins! We arrange another meeting with you. It will either be in person, dependant on where you are, or it can be via teamviewer. here we discuss your idea, get your thoughts, throw ideas around. We then get to work and the first thing we do is build a business plan around your idea. There is no timeframe for this as a lot of information has to be collated and have to rely on third parties. Once this is done, it is time to put it into action. Step Seven: Designing everything is the beginning of your idea evolving into reality. We design everything from logo, flyers, websites, documentation, product plans, etc. We also do patents, registering, trademarks, etc .. if necessary .. protecting your idea is important. We also action a sample product for all of us to discuss and make changes if necessary. At this stage, we will get you to sign the product idea off, so we are all on the same page. In this phase, we have already identified and made an agreement with a supplier. All costing has been done and now we are happy. Step Eight: And now, the excitement kicks up a level ... we heading to market. that turns a frown upside down :) Now it becomes about Supply on Demand and if possible, we go International and hopefully your bank balance has a smile. How awesome is this ... |
